Around the Swabian Alb
The Swabian Alb is appealing for many reasons: the area isn’t overrun with tourists, yet it’s incredibly diverse. A true gem. The ALB LODGE’s location in the heart of the Swabian Alb (a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve) is ideal for exploring this idyllic, varied region. It’s perfect for hiking, visiting castles and palaces, shopping, canoeing, horseback riding, biking, golfing, rock climbing, taking long walks with your dog, or simply unwinding…

A climatic health resort in the Great Lauter Valley in the Swabian Alb
Our beautiful town of Gomadingen has plenty to offer to make your vacation even more enjoyable. With your guest card, you’ll receive discounted admission to many attractions.
Around the market square, you’ll find a charging station for electric vehicles, a small supermarket (self-service), the Glocker bakery and pastry shop—which also serves an excellent breakfast—the Rapp butcher shop (self-service), banks, and the town hall, which houses a small tourist information office and a post office.
You can dine out at Pizzeria Al dente or Gasthaus Lamm.
Just a three-minute walk from the ALB LODGE is the indoor swimming pool with a wading pool and sauna, or you can set off directly on a short hike up the Sternberg with its observation tower, which is staffed by the Swabian Alb Association on weekends and holidays.
For our younger guests, there is a playground by the Mini-See with a barbecue area located right on the Große Lauter.
